It is amazing how things change when you have a baby. Normally I would be super tan after spending a week in Florida, however when I got back I had absolutely no tan what so ever. It is all worth it though. I was able to sit in the sun when Charlie napped, but he is not much of a napper these days so the time was limited. Tim is not much of a sun person, so I did get more time in the sun because Charlie spent lots of time with Daddy in the shade...but it just is not the same...I used to sit in the sun from 9am until 6pm before I was a mom...I guess it is better for my skin anyway...lol. Here is a great shot of Tim and Charlie...it's one of my favorites.
This is another picture of Charlie after he came out of the water. He is just relaxing in his little terry cloth outfit...

When we got back from Florida we had a nice visit with Sara and Caroline. It was sooo nice to finally meet Caroline and awesome to see Sara. The sad thing is, the last time I saw her was at HER baby shower and Caroline is already over a year. The great thing is it seemed like Sara and I just saw each other yesterday. We had a really nice visit...I cannot believe I didn't take any pictures...I am horrible.
We also went to the doctor for Charlie's four month visit. He is doing great...he weighs 10lbs 12oz and is 24 inches long..he is still such a little peanut, but a long one. We started him on cereal which is very exciting. The first few days he had a little trouble taking the spoon, but now he takes it like a champ and LOVES it. He makes "mmm" sounds while he is eating which is hysterical. Here is a picture of the first time he had it...
Tim put together Charlie's exo-saucer and I still think he might be a little too small for it. He was completely overwhelmed when we put him in it and Tim scared him by moving one of the toys a little too fast. We have put him in it a few times, but only for a very short time period...soon enough he will be loving it. It was quite a contraption to put together...lots of parts. Charlie wanted to help out so Daddy gave him the drill...

Soon enough Charlie will be right next to Daddy doing all sorts of handy things in and outside the house. Tim can't wait!
Since we have been home from Florida Charlie has pretty much slept through the night. The first couple nights home were rough, but after that he has been doing great. We have been letting him cry it out a little, which is killing me, but he usually never cries much longer than 5 minutes. After 5 minutes we just go in, put his binki back in, turn him onto his side and rub his back...once we do that, he is pretty much good for the night. We did that for about a week, and tonight when I put him down he didn't cry at all...I am praying this will last...hearing him cry is just heart breaking.
It seems like everyday he is doing something new. Right now he LOVES to put his hands together and bring them back and forth up to his mouth. He is starting to take his binki out, stare at it and then try and get it back in...he did it once, but that's it. Its so cute to see him concentrate on trying to get it back in. He also learned to scream (not when he cries)...he often screams at the tv or some of his stuffed animals. It's hysterical. He has been watching his sign language tapes every morning and he seems to be really interested in them...I can't wait for the first time he shows me a sign. When we put him on his belly for tummy time, his head and legs come completely off the ground and he looks like a rocking chair...he has come so close to rolling onto his back, but that damn arm just keeps getting in his way. He can roll from his back to his side with no problem at all, which is great because he loves sleeping on his side. Ok well that's enough for now...sorry for the long post, but its been awhile and a lots has been going on.
